Creating estimates

     

If a student misses a task, leave their cell blank when entering the marks and then you will be able to create an estimate.

There are three ways an estimate can be created:

1.You calculate the mark yourself and simply enter it into the ‘Estimate’ field;
2.iWise works out the estimate based on all tasks in which the student has a mark; or
3.iWise works out the estimate based on tasks in which the student has a mark and are of the same  task category.

 

The most accurate way of recording an estimate is to allow iWise to work it out based on tasks of the same category. But this means that you need to be diligent about categorising all your tasks - possibly something not all teachers are likely to do.

No matter which method you choose, if a student misses a task, leave their Mark field blank.

 

Estimates are recorded in the Estimate field of either the Edit Mark Detail popup, or the Full Task Edit.
