If you are using iWise Professional the role of Department Head is specified in iWise, and called the faculty supervisor. Assistant Heads of Department are also specified in iWise, and called the faculty assistant.
If you are using iWise with Maze you will need to have Maze modified to store this information. Please speak to Civica for futher information about the modification required.
To specify a head of department in iWise Professional:
| 1) | Go to Home | Staff | Manage. |
| 2) | Search for and double click on a head of department staff member. |
| 3) | Move to the Groups tab. |
| 4) | You will see the teacher is a member of each faculty they teach. In the relevant faculty row, select the role of Supervisor for the Head of Department and Assistant for the Assistant Head of Department from the Role column. |
 If the staff member’s faculty is not appearing in this grid it could be because they don’t teach a class in this faculty. If this is the case add them to this screen using the + Add New button at the top right of the grid to add a new row to this grid. Then select a group type of ‘Faculty’, a group name of the faculty you want to make them head of and the role of ‘Supervisor’.
