Specifying the subject report order

iWise will allow you to specify the order in which reports appear in a report. By default, subjects will appear in alphabetical order by subject name but this can be overridden by using the Report Order field.

1)Go to Calendar | Timetable | Manage Subjects.
2)Search for and click on the subject you wish to work with.
3)You may like to get Civica to set all subjects to have been assigned to a report order of 100. Because all subjects have the same report order number they will print in the default alphabetical order.

To make a subject appear before at the beginning of a report enter a number less than 100 into the Report Order field.

4)Save and repeat for other subjects.

lightbulb_on  To specify a report order the numbers you enter need to be in numeric order but don’t have to be consecutive.  For example, if you want ‘Religious Studies’ to be the first subject on your report, then ‘English’ and then all other subjects in alphabetical order our recommendation is that you give ‘Religious Studies’ a report order of, say, 20 and then ‘English’ a report order of ,say, 30. And then you leave all other subjects as a report order of 100.

Leaving some numbers in between the numbers you specify allows you room to make changes and put other subjects before or after the ones you have already specified.
