This step is relevant if:
- | You are only producing two reports per year (Semester 1 and Semester 2) and not using the main academic screens for an interim report; and |
- | The report period you are creating is for your semester 2 report. |
The purpose of this step is to copy marks from S1 slot of the previous report period to the S1 slot of the current report period. This will mean that teachers can see Semester 1 marks and comments on their data entry screens.
1. | Go to Academic | Admin | Move Marks. |
2. | Select the Source report period. This will be last semester’s report period. |
3. | Select a Destination report period. This will be the current report period. |
4. | Select the Source Semester. If you are copying semester 1 marks, this will be Semester 1. (It can be helpful to think ‘slot 1’ and ‘slot 2’ here) |
5. | Select the Destination Semester. Again, if you are copying semester 1 marks, this will be Semester 1. |
6. | If you want to copy all marks and comments for all subjects don’t make any selections in the Subject drop down. If you only want to copy marks and comments for a single subject, select it here. |
|
|
1. | Click OK to the warning popup that appears. |
|
|
1. | You will be notified on screen when the marks are copied successfully. |
Roll up subjects
Sometimes you want to copy the results in a subject to the next year's academic report. Typically this is done for VET courses, where you want to keep the cumulative outcomes achievements and report on them in the second year of the course.
To copy marks into the next year’s subjects specify ‘Y’ in the Roll up Subjects field. So that iWise will know which subject to copy the marks into, you will also need to make sure that the roll up subjects have been specified via Calendar | Timetables | Manage Subjects.
