‘Absent until proven present’ attendance management

iWise can be configured to allow students to swipe into school to record that they are present. This is the opposite way to the standard iWise absence recording – using this function iWise students ‘absent until proven present’.

Absence records are automatically created in the early hours of each morning and as a student swipes in their absence record is removed – marking them as present.

‘Absent until proven present’ attendance recording can be set up for only a section of your students – for example, just your year 11 and 12 students – and can be configured to allow students not to be considered late until either a time specified by you or until the student’s first class of the day.

As ‘absent until proven present’ is not the default way of attendance recording in iWise please speak to Civica if you have not used it before. There is some set up work that needs to be completed before it will work.
