Following up unexplained absences

     

When following up unexplained absences, you could use the search criteria to select a date range and modify the display options to only show unexplained absences. But a quicker way to do this is to use the Action – ‘Show Unexplained’.

Select this option from the Actions area and click Go.

The date range in the main grid will then change, to from the beginning of the year until today, and only unexplained absences will be showing.

By default, if you are a pastoral carer, only students in your pastoral group will be displayed. If you are not a pastoral carer, or if you have Academic Admin or Admin permissions you will see all students in the grid. You can always then modify the search criteria if you want to see more of less students or dates in the grid.

You are then able to edit the unexplained absences, as required.

lightbulb_on  If you have explained a number of absences and want to clear them from your screen, click Go in the actions area again to run the Show Unexplained action again.

 

lightbulb_on To return the grid to its default position – i.e. just today, and showing all students, click the Reset button in the search area or click the Manage menu item again to reload the screen.
