All tasks can be found on the main Markbook screen – Markbook | Tasks | Manage. Tasks are grouped by subject, then by class, and are found by using the Search area in the top left of screen.
1. | To find an existing task first select the relevant subject from the Search for Subject field. |
2. | If you are looking for a class-based task, select the class from the Select for Class tasks field. |
3. | Click in the two Date Range fields and select From and To dates that are likely to include the task you are looking for. |
All the tasks created for the subject you have selected, that have a task date within the date range specified will be displayed in the main grid below.
If there are lots of tasks displayed you may need to either narrow your date range (and therefore display less tasks) or scroll horizontally to find the task you are looking for.
Markbook remembers your last subject choice and date range. After your initial visit, the next time you use the markbook you will go straight to the Subject (and Class if applicable) you used last time. The Date Range will also be the same.
If you are having trouble finding a task check the following things:
• | Have you selected the correct subject? |
• | Is the date of the task within the date range specified? You may need to broaden your date range to find it. |
• | Could the task you are looking for have been created as a class-based task? If it has, you won’t see it until you select that class from the Select for Class tasks field. |
• | Do you need to scroll horizontally? If there are a lot of tasks within the date range you have selected you may need to use the scroll bar at the bottom of the screen to access the full range of tasks. |
• | Do you have permission to see the task? It is possible to create a class-based task, which is only visible by the teacher of that class. If you are not the teacher of a task created in this way you will not be able to see it. |
