Changing the student list in the main grid

     

When you first come to Data Entry | Attendance | Manage, the screen will be displaying all attendance records for today (Present, Absent and Partially Absent). The range of students you see in the main grid will depend on your iWise user permissions.

If you have Absence Admin or Admin permissions you will see all students.
If you are a Pastoral Carer (and don’t have Absence Admin or Admin permissions) the list will have been filtered to show just the students in your pastoral group.
If you are a normal teacher (not a pastoral carer) you will see all students.

 

The list of students displayed can be changed using the Search for students area. There are 3 main search fields always displayed and then many more which are accessed by clicking the More button.

By Individual is used to find and create absence records for individual students. It behaves differently to the fields in the Search for students area...

To find students in a Pastoral Group, Class or School Year simply select it from the relevant field and click Search. To access the additional search fields click the More button.

The popup you see by clicking the More button is divided in two halves. The left side contains the Additional Search Options and the right side Display Options allows you to specify the types of attendance records you see in the main grid.

For example, if you are only interested in students who are away you would click to ShowAbsences only’ and because you don’t want to include students on events or in sickbay you would uncheck the Events and Sickbay tick boxes.

The Anomalies only display will show you students who are present but absent in one or more periods.

When you have made your selections click Search to close this popup and display the records.
