Overview of the attendance management screens

     

Below is a description of the default screens used for attendance management. Screens marked with an asterisk (*) require Absence Admin or Admin permissions to be accessed.

 

Data Entry > Attendance >

Manage

This is the main absence management screen. Use this screen to:

-Create absences, including marking a student late or leaving early
-Find existing absence records and student absence histories
-Print leave passes and late notes
-Print absence reports
-Notify parents and staff of absent students by email or SMS

Swipe In

This screen is used to record students swiping in to school and to event, as they arrive and leave early.

By Period

This screen can be used to navigate to an individual class for marking the roll. Normally, a teacher wouldn’t use this menu navigation – they would access their class from their calendar or ‘My Day’ page.

Rolls Marked*

This screen is used to see which teachers have marked their class rolls. It allows you to send reminder emails to teachers who have forgotten.

Types*

This screen is used to manage the different absence types (explanation codes) used when managing attendance records
