The ‘Mark this Task’ tab |
The Mark this Task tab allows you to enter marks and comments, create estimates and to see more details about a mark such as Rank, Percentage and Grade.
Entering and Editing Marks To enter or edit a mark click in a cell in the Mark column. The cell is then active and you can type the mark. Using the up and down arrows on your keyboard is a quick way to move about the Mark column. The marks you enter (or changes you make) are automatically saved. The information in the Final, Rank and Percentage columns is also being saved, however changes will only show once the screen is refreshed. Clicking ‘Save’ will refresh the screen.
Student task comment On the right of this tab there are two smaller tabs – Student Detail and Task Comment.
The Student Detail tab is displayed by default and allows you (among other things) to enter a task comment that is specific to an individual student. To record a comment, first click on a student’s name. You will then see that the title above the comment entry field includes the student’s name. Enter the comment, and then make sure you click Save Details (at the bottom of this tab). This tab doesn’t automatically save.
Whole task comment Comments common to the whole cohort can be entered on the Task Comment tab. Task comments then are printed on the Task Schedule report – which is a report designed to be handed out to students. To enter a comment simply click on the Task Comment tab and enter your comment. You must click Save (at the bottom of the popup) for the comment to save.
Estimates The Mark this task tab includes an Estimate field. Estimates can be manually entered, automatically generated based on other tasks, or automatically generated based on tasks of the same category. Estimates can be created from this popup, or from the Edit Mark Detail popup.
